We are so fortunate to have created hundreds of homes that allow our clients to experience nature at its best. Although we’ve designed many oceanfront properties, there is just something special about lakeside living. These lake designs are close to our hearts.

The joy and serenity of the sunsets and fresh air, a retreat from the over stimulation of city life – there’s a healing and restorative energy that comes from living at the water. And when the relaxation gets too much – there are plenty of water activities to enjoy.

Some of our favorite properties have been family compounds or those properties with multiple dwellings for those who love providing guests with a bit of privacy and relaxation — as was featured in the Robb Report (September 2020).

As summer draws to a close, we are sharing a few of our lake houses over the years – from Bobby’s first little cabin on Lake Martin, to recent creations featured in our books. All this can whet (or should we say “wet”? ?) your appetite for our big reveal of Bobby’s new lake house by the time we all head to our vacation houses next summer! Stay tuned…

My heart quickens whenever I see that Richard has posted a new story! This time was no exception, and I can’t wait to see photos of Bobby’s new home on the lake! Is it summer yet?!!

Extremely stiff competition but my favorite will always be that slightly deceiving modest one on Lake Martin, a skillful blend of simplicity and innovation from the early years. It is truly a lake cabin.

    I love them all!!!
