“In paradise you can live in ways you can’t in civilization”

BOBBY McALPINE

When Faith Hill and Tim McGraw purchased a private 20-acre island back in 2003, they came to us with the question “what does paradise look like?” We had a nice, long-term relationship with them from building their homes in Tennessee, so we knew their romantic vision for the island house was to feel connected to the outside. Our design included a compound with rooms that became separate buildings with open air passageways between.

Ray Booth’s interior design embraced the natural island beauty with a bleached out white clean aesthetic filled with organic elements. The colors picked up the reflection and drama of the water beyond.

News broke a few weeks ago that Faith Hill and Tim McGraw decided to sell the island home, and one of the great blessings and sources of pride for everyone at McAlpine is seeing the houses bring pleasure to new owners.

Amazed by all of the McAlpine projects. Regardless of the location, the houses are always the best in design. Thanks for the tour!
