Charlie joined the firm in 2001 after 12 years as Associate Artistic Director and Head of Design for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. He attended Eckerd College earning a BA in Art. Soon thereafter Charlie received his MFA in Drama from the University of Virginia and began his long respected career designing scenery and costumes for regional theatres across the country. For us, he works on a variety of projects although his specialty is building the very detailed and beautiful models we use in our presentations. Due to his vast knowledge and interest in so many topics, we fancy him as our Scholar in Residence. He lives around the corner and down the street from our office in the historic Old Cloverdale neighborhood in a charming Hacienda style bungalow he has renovated with his husband J. Scott Finn, a professor of Architecture at Auburn University. Charlie is the proud father of Sidney, a fine arts graduate from both Virginia Commonwealth University and Cranbrook Academy of Art.
